Students, faculty and staff can register for NIU Cares Day 2012 until March 30.

On April 14, participants will be completing service projects benefiting not-for-profit community agencies and individual residents.

According to a press release from the Student Involvement and Leadership Development (SILD) office, registration and event information is available at niucaresday.niu.edu. Students are encouraged to sign up as a volunteer team or by themselves. To get their teams recognized, team leaders can email [email protected] and those with no team preference can sign up with Team NIU Cares.

Staff members interested in a student-oriented experience can sign up with the “Project Site Leader” or “Kickoff Volunteer” team and training will be provided.

NIU Cares Day committee members will also be available to provide information and answer questions. Those interested should contact SILD Assistant Director Becky Harlow at [email protected].
