Monday

  • At 1:40 a.m. an officer interacted with a person which led to the discovery of cannabis. This case is pending further investigation.

Tuesday

  • At 9:10 p.m., an officer responded to the lobby of the NIU Police Department regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said someone stole her purse and its contents from Faraday West. This case is pending investigation.

Wednesday

  • At 5:47 a.m., an officer responded to Douglas Hall regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said someone stole his PlayStation 3. This case is pending investigation.
  • At 8:14 a.m. an officer responded to Lincoln Hall regarding a report of unauthorized videotaping. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said a person posted a video of him on Facebook without his authorization. This case is pending investigation.
  • At 5:26 p.m. officers responded to the Lincoln Hall Lobby regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, they met with a student who said someone stole his cellular telephone. This case is pending investigation.
  • At 5:57 p.m. officers responded to the fifth floor of Lincoln Hall A Wing regarding the smell of cannabis. Upon arrival, they met with a student who directed them to the specific room. The officers contacted the two occupants of that room, which resulted in them being referred to the NIU Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • At 7:17 p.m. officers responded to the Recreational Center regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, they met with a student who said someone stole cash out of his wallet, which had been in a locked locker. This case is pending investigation.
