The streak is over.

Down 20 going into halftime, things weren’t looking good for NIU to end its MAC Championship streak. That all changed with 23 unanswered points in the second half to win its first MAC Championship sine 1983, 23-20 over the Ohio Bobcats. 

Nathan Palmer was named the player of the game, catching a game-tying touchdown pass late in the fourth. Following a defensive stand Mathew Sims kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired.
