Tuesday
- At 12:10 a.m., an officer responded to Lincoln Hall regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, he met with a student, who said someone stole his cell phone while he was playing basketball at the Campus Recreation Center. This case is pending investigation.
Wednesday
- At 12:13 p.m., an officer responded to the Stevenson Towers North Lobby regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said someone stole $50 to $60 from his wallet when he left it in the Neptune Hall Trident. This case is pending investigation.
- At 3:25 p.m., officers responded to NIU Parking Lot W regarding criminal damage to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, they talked with a man who said his rear passenger side window had been smashed, but nothing appeared to be missing. Due to no leads and no suspects, this case is administratively closed.
- At 9:02 p.m., an officer responded to the Grant North Lobby in response to a battery report. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said she was battered. The officer contacted Deanna M. Rogers, 20, of Oakland Park, and arrested her and charged her with battery. She was processed at the NIU Police Department and released after posting bail. This case is cleared by arrest.
- At 10:19 p.m., an officer responded to Grant Towers North for a theft report. Upon arrival, he spoke with a student, who said an acquaintance stole her laptop from her room. This case is pending investigation.
- At 10:30 p.m., an officer responded to the Lincoln Hall Community Safety Center regarding harassment by telephone. Upon arrival, he met with a woman who said her former friend keeps sending her unwanted text messages. The officer talked with the friend, who said he would stop texting the woman. This case is cleared due to refusal to cooperate.
