Tuesday

• Between 4:56 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., officers patrolling the East Tailgate of the Huskie Stadium separately observed one man and three women drinking Busch Light beer. Contact with the students revealed all were minors. All four students were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.

Wednesday

• At 12:05 a.m., an officer in the Grant North Towers Lobby smelled cannabis on a person who walked passed him. The officer contacted the person, who revealed a bag of cannabis. Ryan M. Barnard, 19, of Geneva, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and released after posting bond.

• At 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the fourth floor of Neptune East Even for a battery report. Upon arrival, they met with a student who said her boyfriend broke her computer and pushed her. The officers contacted her boyfriend, who confirmed her story. However, since she refused to sign a complaint against him, this case is cleared due to refusal to cooperate.
