City blotter for 9/27/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Saturday
- At 1:19 a.m., DeKalb County Sheriff’s Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Glidden Road and South Mayfield Road for improper lane usage and failing to dim its headlights. The driver, Carissa Q. Whaley, 20, of Byron, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The five passengers of the vehicle, Zachary L. Diehl, 20, of Davis Junction; Andrew P. Hildebrand, 19, of Rockford; Matisyn N. Snodgrass, 20, of Monroe Center; Kody A. Harriott, 18, of Davis Junction; and Joshua B. Smith, 18, of Monroe Center, were found to have consumed alcohol. Whaley was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. All six individuals were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and were taken to DeKalb County Jail pending bond.
- At 4:18 p.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 3100 block of Sycamore Road that had its registration improperly displayed. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Isaac D. Threadgill, 20, of Freeport, was driving with a suspended license. Threadgill was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
