The DeKalb Fire Department was called early Tuesday afternoon to the 300 block of Jasmine Court in response to a stove fire. The cause of the fire was due to unattended cooking material and was deemed accidental in nature. The fire was reportedly extinguished by the occupants before fire crews arrived. There where no reported injuries. However, there was about $6,000 in damage. The case has been closed by DeKalb Fire Department Fire Investigators.
