City blotter for Sept. 12

The following was taken from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb county court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Friday
- At 12:03 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle drive over the lane divider on South Annie Glidden Road. The officer performed a traffic stop in the 1400 block of South Malta Road and found the driver, Christopher Tope, 35, of DeKalb, was driving under the influence of alcohol. The officer also found Tope was driving with a revoked license. Tope was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with license revoked, improper lane usage and no insurance. He was taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
- At 9:45 p.m., DeKalb Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Crane Drive for a report of criminal trespass. Upon arrival, officers located the individual, Bernard T.S. Lampkin, 20, of DeKalb, and confirmed he was banned from the property. Lampkin was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later transported to DeKalb County Jail.
- At 9:50 p.m., DeKalb Police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Lincoln Highway for a report of a party charging for alcoholic beverages. Upon arrival, officers observed a sign posted on the front door of the residence indicating fees for entrance and alcohol. Jacob A. Miguel, 25, of DeKalb, was arrested and charged with unlawful sale of alcoholic liquor without a retail license. Miguel was taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
Saturday
- At 12:47 a.m., DeKalb Police responded to a report of an individual fighting with security at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Ridge Drive. Security at the location stated they saw the individual, David Murdock, 29, of North Aurora, taking liquor out of one of the dumpsters. Security stated Murdock became aggressive after being asked if he would consent to a search of his person. Two small bags of cannabis were found in Murdock’s possession. He was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
