Monday
- At 9 a.m., an officer responded to the lobby of the EMP building regarding the theft of a bicycle from the Ben Gordon Center. This case is under investigation.
- At 9:30 a.m., an officer conducting a parking lot check of Lot S observed a vehicle with a front passenger side window broken. Contact with the owner of the vehicle revealed that the owner’s purse was stolen from the vehicle. This case is under investigation.
- At 12:21 p.m. an officer responded to the lobby of the NIU Police Department to take a report regarding unauthorized use of an NIU One Card. The complainant said someone had made numerous unauthorized purchases on his card. This case is pending investigation.
- At 12:34 p.m. a person turned in a found package containing cannabis. This case is pending investigation.
- At 11:02 p.m. an officer responded to the Neptune North Hall Director’s office to meet with a complainant who said she had been harassed. After talking with the complainant and the alleged offender, Jessica L. Kalinski, 19, of Brookfield, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and was later released on bail. Three other people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
