DeKalb police blotter for Sept. 9

The following was taken from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb county court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Wednesday
At 7:49 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 1800 block of Sycamore Road. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Angel Gonzalez, 49, of DeKalb, did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance. Gonzalez was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
At 4:34 p.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle stopped with its hazard lights on in the 700 block of Sycamore Road. The officer contacted the driver, Jose Carmona, 19, of DeKalb, and found that he was driving with a suspended license and had canceled his insurance. Carmona was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
At 10:12 p.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle run a red light in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Cristian Jacobo, 19, of DeKalb, did not have a driver’s license. Jacobo was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
At 11:27 p.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle without an illuminated rear license plate in the 700 block of West Locust Street. Upon checking, the officer found the registered owner of the vehicle, Anais M. Harvest, 22, of DeKalb, had an active failure to appear warrant for no valid driver’s license. The officer placed Harvest under arrest. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the officer found a plastic bag of cannabis. Harvest was charged with no valid driver’s license, possession of cannabis, and no registration light. She was later taken to DeKalb County Jail.
