Saturday
- At 12:54 a.m., an officer conducting a floor check of the 12th floor of Stevenson B Tower smelled cannabis coming from a room. The officer contacted the resident of the room, who produced cannabis. The officer took possession of the cannabis and processed it into evidence. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 1:50 a.m., an officer responded to NIU Parking Lot X for a report of criminal damage to motor vehicle. Upon arrival, he observed a vehicle with its driver side window shattered. The owner said nothing appeared to have been taken. This case is pending investigation.
- At 2:50 a.m., an officer in Grant Tower South interacted with a resident concerning cannabis. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 1:35 p.m., an officer on patrol of the Huskie Stadium East Tailgate noticed a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage. The officer gave the offender a verbal warning.
- At 1:36 p.m., a lieutenant on patrol of the Huskie Stadium East Tailgate observed a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage. She was told to leave the tailgate area and was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 1:47 p.m., an officer found a minor in possession of an open can of Busch Light beer at the East Tailgate area. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 1:53 p.m., an officer on patrol in the East Tailgate area of Huskie Stadium observed a person in possession of a can of Coors Light Beer. Upon seeing the officer, the student tried to hide the can in the bed of a pickup truck. He was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 2:02 p.m., an officer on patrol in the East Tailgate area of Huskie Stadium observed a minor in possession of a can of Keystone Light Beer. He was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 2:02 p.m., an officer on patrol of the Huskie Stadium East Tailgate observed a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage. The officer referred the offender to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 2:11 p.m., a lieutenant on patrol of the Huskie Stadium East Tailgate observed a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage. She was told to leave the tailgate area and was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 9:17 p.m., an officer responded to the first floor of Douglas Hall A Wing regarding an obnoxious odor of cannabis. Upon arrival, he talked with the resident of the suspected room who produced cannabis and drug paraphernalia, Eric A. Fulton, 18, of Rockford, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on an Individual Bond.
- At 11:34 p.m., a sergeant on patrol on Regent Drive observed two people holding open beers. He contacted them and they revealed they were under 21. One provided a false driver’s license. It was confiscated. They were given verbal warnings for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and obstructing identification.
Sunday
- At 12:54 a.m., an officer conducting a floor check of the 12th floor of Stevenson B Tower noticed the smell of cannabis coming from a room. The officer contacted the resident, who produced cannabis. The officer took possession of the cannabis and processed it into evidence. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
- At 2:08 a.m., an officer observed two people sitting outside Lincoln Hall near a tree. The officer contacted them, revealing alcohol. One student was given a verbal warning for illegal possession of alcohol by minor.
- At 2:20 a.m., officers on patrol observed a vehicle speeding past a stop sign without stopping. They contacted the driver, which revealed that she was under 21 years and had consumed alcoholic beverages. Hillary L. Paull, 19, of Somonauk was arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was processed at the NIU Police Department and released after posting bond.
- At 7 p.m., an officer took a report involving a battery in Grant South. An investigation revealed that the two people involved were in a relationship. Both were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
