Crime Stoppers seeks information on recent thefts

Crime Stoppers is seeking information pertaining to two thefts occurring in the DeKalb County area.
Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. on Aug. 26, a burglary occurred in the 11000 block of Deerpath Road in Sycamore. After gaining access to the residence through a front window, several items were taken including women’s jewelry, an Apple Mac Book Pro, a personal safe containing miscellaneous items, a personal bank converted from a post office box, a blue metal document box with combination lock and two penny collection books.
Additionally, on Aug. 25 and 26, 54 sections of bare copper grounding cable were taken from the ComEd substation, 3680 Somonauk Road, Sandwich.
