Campus police blotter 9/26/2011

Thursday
• At 3:51 a.m., a student reported his OneCard was stolen. He said he later discovered the person used the OneCard to purchase several beverages from the vending machines in Lincoln and gas from a local service station. The case is pending investigation.
• At 7:31 p.m., officers conducted a check of NIU Parking Lot K and observed people talking in the wooded area adjacent to the parking lot. The officers smelled burnt cannabis. The people admitted to smoking cannabis, and one had cannabis in his possession. It was destroyed.He received a verbal warning for possession of cannabis.
• At 10:50 p.m., an officer took a theft report at the Holmes Student Center. A woman said someone stole her wallet and attempted to use her credit card. This case is pending investigation
• At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the third floor of Neptune East in regard to an odor of cannabis. The officers contacted the resident of that room, who revealed cannabis, drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of weapons.
