Tuesday network problems ironed out

NIU experienced server problems Tuesday, preventing some students from being able to log in to the network.
Cindy Phillips, ITS director of customer support services, said a server that assists with the ability to authenticate to NIU’s network and applications was having complications. Phillips said technicians isolated the problem and worked to get the server working properly. By 4:30 p.m. Tuesday the server was processing correctly.
Phillips said ITS will continue to monitor the authentication process to make sure any futher issues are addressed as soon as possible.
