Twenty-two vehicles parked in NIU Lot C2, the remote parking lot at the Convocation Center, were broken into Thursday, said NIU Police Sgt. Alan Smith. Two vehicles parked on Garden Rd. were also broken into Thursday.

Smith said windows were broken and valuables were taken. There were also several other vehicles broken into this week; seven vehicles, the majority of which were parked in Lot 12 by the East Lagoon, were broken into Wednesday, he said.

“People should not leave their valuables in their cars, especially nothing in plain sight,” Smith said. “If they see anyone suspicious, give us a call.”
