Structure fire causes $105,000 in damages

DeKALB | A structure fire the morning of July 20 caused $105,000 dollars in damage to the residence at 115 1/2 W. Garden St., according to a DeKalb Fire Department Press Release.
The fire originated from a stove in the second-floor kitchen and was determined to be accidental-cooking fire. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy fire and smoke coming from the second story of the residence. They were able to gain access to the second story and extinguish the fire, according to the release.
No injuries were reported.
