The man accused of groping a student at an NIU residence hall in Feb. 2010 was sentenced Wednesday to two months in jail.

Lemuel Miller, 26, of Chicago was charged with criminal sexual abuse and battery, as well as unlawful restraint.

Stephanie Klein, DeKalb County Assistant State’s Attorney, said Miller pled guilty during a hearing Wednesday.

Klein said Circuit Judge Robbin Stuckert sentenced Miller to 60 days in DeKalb County Jail with 24 months probation. Miller must also pay a $1,000 fine, $500 in other fees and complete all recommended treatment based upon a sex offender evaluation, she said.

Miller is to have no contact with the victim and is expected to report to jail on Sept. 1.
