Juvenile violates probation

DeKalb police arrested a juvenile in the area of First Street and Hillcrest Drive for removing his electronic home monitoring anklet early Sunday.
According to a press release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office, the sheriffs received an alert notification at approximately 2:09 p.m. on Friday that a 17-year-old male who had an EHM anklet for a probation violation. After receiving the alert deputies learned the juvenile had cut off his EHM anklet.
At approximately 12:17 a.m. Sunday, deputies took the juvenile into custody in the area of First Street and Hillcrest Drive. The juvenile was transported to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center where he is being held for a violation of electronic home monitoring.
