The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

• At 9:46 p.m. Sunday, DeKalb Police received a call about four individuals fighting in a parking lot in the 400 block of North Annie Glidden Road. Upon investigation, police found two of the subjects had arranged to sell marijuana to two other subjects and a fight ensued when payment was not made. Police arrested and charged Kevin Syzdlo, 19, of Carol Stream; Javon W. Roy, 18, of Waukegan and Jorianna Rivers, 19, of DeKalb, with the unlawful possession of cannabis. Syzdlo was also charged with the intent to deliver cannabis within 1,000 feet of a school. There was no mention of charges for the fourth individual.
