DeKalb city crime blotter for March 7

The following was taken directly from area police and fire
department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone
mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of
law.
- At 2:44 a.m. Sunday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle failing
to dim its headlights in the 900 block of Annie Glidden Road.
Police performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, Cyle M.
Gilbert, 20, of DeKalb, was driving under the influence, engaged in
underage consumption and did not have a valid driver’s license.
Gilbert was arrested and taken to the police station. He was later
released on bond.
- At 1:54 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle run a
red light in the 100 block of West Lincoln Highway. Police
performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, Eric M. Becker,
21, of St. Charles, was driving under the influence and had an
uninsured vehicle. Becker was arrested for DUI. He was later
released on bond.
- At 2:10 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle going
the wrong way on a one way street in the 300 block of Park Avenue.
Police performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, Lina K.
Kuliavas, 20, of Lisle, was driving under the influence. Kuliavas
was arrested and taken to the police station. She was later
released on bond.
- At 8:53 a.m. Friday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle speeding
in the 700 block of Annie Glidden Road. Police performed a traffic
stop and learned the driver, Apollonia C. Pollard, 20, of DeKalb,
was driving with a suspended license. Pollard was arrested and
taken to the police station. She was later released on bond.
- At 2:54 a.m. Friday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle with no
headlights on in the 1100 block of Hillcrest Drive. Police
performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, Javarus D. Jacobs,
23, of DeKalb, was driving under the influence. Jacobs was arrested
and taken to the police station. He was later released on
bond.
- At 2 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police performed a traffic stop on a
vehicle in the 100 block of West Lincoln Highway. Police learned
the driver, Daniel J. Katrein, 47, of DeKalb, was driving with a
suspended license. Katrein was arrested and taken to the police
station. He was later released on bond.
