.38 Special will headline 2011 Corn Fest

Southern rockers .38 Special will headline this year’s Corn Fest.

The group, which scored big hits in the ‘80s with songs like “Hold on Loosely,” “Caught Up in You” and “Second Chance,” will close the show on Aug. 27.

Corn Fest organizers also announced musical acts Shuvlhed, Shy Violet, Dot Dot Dot, Snidley Whiplash, Mr. Myers, Big Daddy Woo Woo, the Penny Mae Dixon Band, Howard and the White Boys, Back Country Roads and 7th Heaven in an e-mail sent out Wednesday.
