DeKALB | Two cars collided on Lucinda Avenue right in front of NIU police building around noon Monday. NIU Police Sgt. Alan Smith said a silver Ford Focus was heading North on Wirtz towards Lucinda, while a red Ford Mustang was heading East on Lucinda.

The Mustang collided with the driver’s side door of the Focus. Medics arrived on the scene, but no one was treated for injuries. Traffic from Normal to Garden was shut down and the Huskie Bus Line was temporarily redirected.

A tow truck carried away both vehicles around 12:20 p.m.
