The UCONN women’s basketball team is once again ranked No. 1 in the nation, and I feel like I speak for the entire country when I say “thank goodness.” Because after all, nothing is more important than women’s basketball and having the best team ranked No. 1. It’s not like there are only three good teams in the country and there are, like, five people who actually care about those teams. In all fairness, though, these colleges are only preparing these girls for the ultimate pinnacle of sporting success, the WNBA. The only league that will never go into a lockout, because the country would not survive its absence. Breathe easy sports fans, the UCONN Lady Ballers have returned to their rightful place atop the college sports landscape.
