The 2011 Northern Star Hall of Fame induction dinner is Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Kish Corner Family Restaurant in DeKalb. And that’s just one part of a two-day series of Star-related events.

Caron Weil Blitz (Star editor 1979-80) is organizing the rest of “Star Alumni Schmmozefest,” Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26, for Star Alumns from the 1970s and ’80s to reunite and to pay tribute to now-retired adviser Jerry Thompson. Here’s the tentative schedule:

Friday, Feb. 25:

7 p.m. to ???: Reunion Kick-Off at Twin Taverns in DeKalb, 7 pm until ????

Saturday, Feb. 26:

10 a.m.: Nostalgic breakfast at The Junction restaurant.

Noon: Tour of The Northern Star office, campus and downtown DeKalb.

5 p.m.: Northern Star Hall of Fame Event, Kish Corner Family Restaurant, DeKalb. Cocktails at 5 p.m., dinner at 5:45 p.m., program at 6:30 p.m.
