The Illinois Secretary of State’s office will be at NIU next Monday. Students, faculty and residents will be able to renew their driver’s license or state ID, purchase vehicle license plate stickers, register to be an organ donor or conduct other transactions. The office will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level of the Holmes Student Center. Personal checks, cash, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are acceptable forms of payment.

NIU collegiate license plates will also be available to purchase. There is a $69 fee to switch to a random numbered NIU license plate. Vanity plates, which include all letters or the numbers 1-999, cost $163 and personalized license plates, which consist of combination of letters and numbers, are $116.
