Students for Sensible Drug Policy to address SA Sunday
November 18, 2010
The NIU Students for Sensible Drug Policy will address the Student Association Senate on Sunday regarding their denial for SA recognition as a social justice group.
NIU SSDP was denied recognition after members of the SA Senate debated on the classification on whether or not the group was a social justice group or a political group. According to the SA Senate bylaws if SSDP is classified as a political group they would not be eligible for SA funding.
The next Senate meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Skyroom of the Holmes Student Center.
