There are way too many games to filter through to find out which ones could be the great ones.
Northern Star sports writer Mike Buda has the games and the reasons why you should watch every day this week.
Monday: Game 3 ALCS Texas Rangers at New York Yankees – 7 p.m.
Why? Ace/Stud Cliff Lee tries to give Texas home field back while old man Andy Pettitte attempts to give the Bronx Bombers a 2-1 edge.
Tuesday: AC Milan at Real Madrid – 1:45 p.m.
Why? The biggest match of Champions League group play pits the all-star attack of Madrid against the aging core of the Rossoneri.
Wednesday: Vancouver Canucks at Chicago Blackhawks – 8 p.m.
Why? Time for another ugly playoff rematch with potential MVP’s the Sedin sisters and the Italian Stallion Roberto Luongo visiting the Madhouse.
Thursday: NLCS Game 5 Philadelphia Phillies at San Francisco Giants – 6:30 p.m.
Why? Doc vs. The Freak…enough said.
Friday: Miami (Ohio) at NIU women’s soccer – 2 p.m.
Why? The Huskies defend their five match home unbeaten streak against the top team from the East.
Saturday: No. 6 LSU Tigers at No. 5 Auburn Tigers – 2:30 p.m.
Why? The two remaining unbeaten SEC schools battle for what will most likely be a spot in the conference championship game.
Sunday: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers – 7:20 p.m.
Why? Who doesn’t like watching Brett Favre getting boo’d and losing?
