Bowling Green’s losing streak is now at three after Ohio cruised past them, 49-25. Falcons’ running back Willie Geter rumbled for 98 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown. Quarterback Matt Schilz was 23 for 27 with 277 yards and a pair of touchdown passes.
Kent State Golden Flashes

Buffalo Bulls
Head Coach – Jeff Quinn
2010 Record – 2-3 (1-0 MAC)
Buffalo squeaked past Bowling Green, 28-26. Bulls quarterback Jerry Davis had both high and low moments with three touchdown passes and four interceptions. The Bulls will travel to DeKalb to take on NIU Saturday.
Akron Zips
Head Coach – Dan Ianello
2010 Record – 0-6 (0-2 MAC)
Akron’s offense was pitiful to say the least during its 28-17 loss to Kent State. Zips’ quarterback Patrick Nicely had three interceptions, including one that was returned by Golden Flashes’ cornerback Luke Wollet for a touchdown.
Miami RedHawks
Head Coach – Michael Haywood
2010 Record – 3-3 (2-0 MAC)
Cincinnati would do all its scoring during its 45-3 victory over Miami (OH). The RedHawks’ defense surrendered 609 total yards of offense to the Bearcats. A 48-yard field goal by Trevor Cook in the second quarter prevented Miami from being shutout.
