The Rant: Time to tune into America’s real pastime

Roy Halladay is reason enough to turn on the MLB Playoffs

I’ll take a 1-0 start for the Bears, but in reality, they lost that game.

Rules are rules, I know, but Calvin Johnson caught that final pass, and highlighted the minor intricacies – and problems- with football’s terrible rules.

“Megatron” had every aspect of a great game-winning catch. He went up top, brought it down, held it one-handed and hung onto it as he went down. But the NFL says different, because he didn’t get up with the ball in tow.

Watch the replay again, he clearly sets the ball down. Johnson doesn’t drop it, or fumble it. He sets it down.

Clearly a bad call and clearly a cheap win for the Bears.
