Online rumors that a body may have been found near Malta are false, DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott said Wednesday night.

The investigation into the disappearance of NIU freshman Antinette Keller has not stopped, and Scott said DeKalb Police, DeKalb County Police and NIU Police are still searching via ground and air in the area near Nelson Road and Route 38.

NIU Police Sgt. Alan Smith said he doesn’t know where the rumors originated and that they are “completely untrue.”
