Prepare yourselves, for on Thursday there will be brutality.

Set to start at 7 p.m., the House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway, will be filled with the various blast beats, screes, grunts and guitar shreds of headlining band, The Black Dahlia Murder, along with Sleep Serapis Sleep, Goatwhore, and Arkaik.

Hailing from Riverside, CA, Arkaik is resonant and heavy variety of metal. The drums, which dominate Arkaik’s music, are like shots that ricochet off the guttural walls of vocals and the screaming guitars.

Goatwhore, who comes to us from New Orleans, has a sound reminiscent of Slayer. The jarring vocals border on punk, but the music itself remains characteristically metal.

Sleep Serapis Sleep is an act from close to home. This band, from nearby Milwaukee, WI, brings the pain with dual vocalists and intense guitar shreds. Sleep Serapis Sleep is a fine example of a Midwestern band who’s able to hold their own in the harrowing world of metal.

There’s not much to be said about the Black Dahlia Murder, of Detroit, Mich., that hasn’t already been said dozens of times. Simply put, they perfect the art of metal. Machine gun drums, guitars that slay and the perfect combination of screeches, screams and growls have raised the bar for any up and coming metal bands.

Promising to be packed, energetic and absolutely brutal, this show is not one to miss. Buy your tickets in advance online at www.kickstandproductions.net.
