Elections are an opportunity for voters to have their voices heard by choosing the right person for each elected position.

For the past five years, I have had the pleasure of knowing John Acardo, not only as a co-worker, but as a friend. The office of Clerk and Recorder has many duties and responsibilities for serving DeKalb County residents. It requires a person who has the talent, skills and experience in management, finance and information technology.

John Acardo has exemplified these characteristics for his entire professional career. Working on the front lines of public service delivery in both state and local government offices has given him the experience necessary to manage employees and advance technology in the County Clerk’s office without putting a strain on the budget.
