One man was killed Friday night following a car accident in Sycamore.

According to a press release from the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office, Judd E. Lauger, 30, of Machesney Park, was pronounced dead at 7:17 p.m. Friday at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital from injuries received in the accident.

Lauger was traveling eastbound on Old State Road between Church and 5 Points Road when the car left the roadway and rolled over several times.

Lauger was wearing a seat belt when the accident took place.

He was then extricated from the vehicle by the Sycamore Fire Department and then sent to Kishwaukee Hospital.

The accident is currently under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office.
