DeKalb Police arrested a man early Wednesday morning after witnesses said he was waving a knife around in the 900 block of Greenbrier Road.
Police were called at 1:30 a.m. about a man wearing face paint and waving a knife, according to police.
DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said officers approached Dustin K. Anderson, 20, and instructed him to remove his hand from his pocket. Initially he refused, but Spangler said officers eventually were able to subdue Anderson and placed him under arrest. Anderson was charged with disorderly conduct.
Police found two knives on Anderson. Spangler said when police asked him why he had paint on his face, Anderson said it was because of his religion. No one was injured in the incident.
