The Military Student services held an ice cream social for veterans and students affected by the Feb. 14 tragedy to come together and hang out.

The event was held on Thursday from 1-4.

It was an open forum for the veterans to come in and get ice cream, Steven Kreitzer, veteran financial student worker, said. The main purpose was for the veterans to come in and see the new office they would be transitioning to and if they had questions about anything, they could get them answered.

“It was a good place for the veterans to hang out and come together,” Kreitzer said. “They got to enjoy themselves and also students affected by the tragedy were able to come together and talk.”
