Sexual assault brief

On Thursday, a sexual assault was reported to the DeKalb Police. The victim reported she was sexually assaulted in the 400 block of Clifford Drive by Prairie Park. While attending a party near the park, she ended up leaving with the suspect. The victim sustained facial injuries during the attack that didn’t require medical attention. The suspect was located Friday in his car and was identified to be Dustin K. Anderson, 19, of DeKalb. Anderson was charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault, class 1 felonies and aggravated battery, class 3 felony. Anderson was transported to the DeKalb County Jail pending a bond hearing.
Anderson was also arrested Sept. 15 after witnesses said he waving a knife around in the 900 block of Greenbrier Road. When DeKalb Police arrived, they instructed him to remove his hand from his pocket. After initially refusing, Anderson was subdued and placed under arrest by DeKalb Police. Police found two knives in his possession and charged Anderson with disorderly conduct. No one was injured in the incident.
