Even for a Cubs fan, check that, a baseball fan, Frank Thomas was one of the greatest power hitters in the history of baseball.

He is the greatest, and presumably cleanest, home run hitter in Chicago baseball history.

The Big Hurt deserves the honor of his number being retired by the White Sox, just as he deserves to be enshrined in Cooperstown when he comes up for vote.

Maybe he can do even more for Chicago baseball and replace Hawk Harrelson in the booth next year.
