About 2,900 students are in danger of their student loans not dispersing, according to the Student Financial Aid Office.

The direct loans will not disperse without first-time loan borrowers signing their Stafford Loan Master Promissory Notes and taking part in Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling.

Students can access their loans by visiting MyNIU online to find out if they still need to fulfill the requirements.

If students are having trouble fulfilling these requirements, they should contact the Student Financial Aid Office by calling 815-753-1395 or visit them in Swen Parson 245.
