University Police Blotter: April 13

April 9

At 8:42 a.m., University Police responded to a report of a domestic battery in progress at Grant South. When the officers arrived, the fight had ended. Investigation revealed both individuals were mutual combatants. One individual had more extensive injuries and was the victim but refused to file a complaint. Both individuals were referred to Judicial Affairs.

At 11:42 p.m., two females entered Grant North with their friend who was highly intoxicated. University Police there had paramedics check on the intoxicated individual’s well-being. The two friends agreed to watch their friend for the night. The intoxicated friend was referred to Judicial Affairs for underage drinking.

April 10

At 1:45 a.m., a victim reported someone took his cell phone from the Douglas Hall computer lab between 9 and 11 p.m. on April 9. Case is pending.

At 3:42 a.m., University Police on patrol in Douglas Hall observed a female individual staggering in the hallway and stumbling into another person. After talking with the individual, she was referred to Judicial Affairs for underage drinking.

At 11:13 a.m., University Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct at the Holmes Student Center. Case is pending.

April 11

At 2:20 p.m., University Police responded to an attempted burglary report at Grant South. The victim said while he was in his residence hall room, an unidentified black male attempted to enter his room by prying the door open with a knife. Upon confronting the offender, the offender fled to another room on the floor. Case is pending.

At 8:55 p.m., University Police responded to a domestic battery report at Grant North. A male was allegedly choking a female. Officers arrested Robert E. Price, 20, of Bellwood, for domestic battery. Officers booked Price at the NIU Police Department, where he was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
