Campus Crime: March 27

At 12:28 a.m., a victim reported someone damaged his or her pickup truck when it was parked in Lot 27D. A long scratch was observed on the side. Case is pending.

At 1:30 a.m., University Police on patrol were referred to a room in Lincoln Hall for loud noise and drinking. A group of people were drinking and throwing bottles out the window. When the officers arrived, the friends had left, and the two residents admitted to underage drinking. The residents were referred to Judicial Affairs.

At 10:11 a.m., a woman called 911 when she felt threatened during her verbal argument with a man at Neptune West. The man believed the woman had taken money from his room. He also called 911 for a non-emergency. The man was referred to Judicial Affairs for improper use of 911.

At 8:36 p.m., University Police found a wallet near Lincoln Hall Service Drive on the hood of a police car. The owner was contacted and notified that money was missing from the wallet. The owner had left her wallet on a bench near vending machines in DuSable Hall. Pending further leads, case is closed.
