• At 1:39 a.m., University Police responded to a possible battery at Grant South. Upon investigating, officers learned that a female who was arguing with another female had become combative and hit her. Officers arrested Tameka R. Williams, 18, of Maywood, for battery. Officers booked Williams at the NIU Police Department, where she was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
• At 8:30 p.m., University Police were notified that some individuals were going to smoke cannabis in Central Park near Douglas Hall. Upon arrival, officers spotted three male individuals sitting by bushes. Officers made contact with the three, who admitted they were about to smoke cannabis. The individuals turned over the cannabis and paraphernalia they had in their possession and were referred to Judicial Affairs.
March 20
• At 2:17 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a fight between two individuals at Lincoln Hall. Upon arrival, the individuals had been separated and were talking to hall staff. The individuals were referred to Judicial Affairs.
• At 2:26 p.m., a victim reported someone damaged her car as it was parked in Lot J. Case is closed.
• At 8:11 p.m., a victim reported that her debit card was stolen on March 19, used without her permission and was returned. Case is pending.
• At 9:21 p.m., University Police on patrol in Douglas Hall smelled burnt cannabis coming from one of the rooms. After investigating, the University Police collected a small amount of cannabis and other paraphernalia from the occupant of the room. The occupant was referred to Judicial Affairs.
• At 10:18 p.m., a victim reported that someone stole items from her car while it was parked in the pay lot near Founders Memorial library. Case is pending.
