Incubus – ‘Aqueous Transmission’
Incubus’ song ‘Aqueous Transmission,’ from the band’s fourth release ‘Morning View,’ brings complexity to a surprisingly simplistic track.
‘Aqueous Transmission’ provides the audience with simplistic lyrics that flow over a melody of layered instruments. The song is calming and has a sort of Zen feeling to it as the lyrics discuss a man floating down a river and the discoveries he makes along the way. To top it off, Incubus recorded the sound of chirping frogs to end the song.
It’s a great song to hear live. Incubus really brings it to the table, and you can feel yourself being sucked into the song as the music wraps around you.
This track is both powerful and strong.
