University Police Blotter: Friday, Feb. 13

Jan. 22

• At 8:37 a.m., University Police responded to reported theft of copy cards from the Huskie Prints area of Founders Memorial Library. Officers’ investigation led to one individual being referred to Judical Affairs.

Feb. 11

• At 2:03 a.m., University Police noticed a strong odor of cannabis coming from a vehicle parked in Lot 30 near Stevenson Towers. When questioned, the vehicle’s occupant admitted to having a small quantity of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia. The occupant was referred to Judicial Affairs.

• At 2:07 p.m., Health Services reported some medical equipment was missing. Case is pending.

• At 10:22 p.m., University Police responded to a fight in progress at Grant South. Two individuals who were involved in a verbal altercation had already dispersed by the time the officers had arrived. One individual kicked a door, causing damage to a light fixture. Charles Thome, 20, of Chicago, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Officers booked Thome at the NIU Police Department, where he posted bond and was released.
