Police arrested one suspect and are searching for three others allegedly involved in an armed robbery at Wal-Mart in early September, police said.

Richard E. Rogers, 27, of Chicago, was arrested Oct. 29 on a warrant for armed robbery following an investigation from the DeKalb Police Department.

Warrants for armed robbery were also issued for Jason M. Alejos, 25, and Robert Storball, 26, both of Chicago. Charges are still pending for a fourth suspect who has yet to be identified, according to a news release from the DeKalb Police Department.

About 1:46 a.m. on Sept. 9, Storball allegedly entered the store at 2300 Sycamore Road, confronted an employee working in the office with a handgun and took cash, according to a DeKalb Police Department news release.

He then left the store in a dark colored vehicle that was parked nearby, and drove east on County Farm Road.

DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said only Storball entered the store, but the three other suspects were also involved in the planning and execution of the robbery.

The suspects have extensive criminal histories, and the investigation has involved joint work with Chicago Police, said DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen.

Anyone with information on Alejos or Storball is encouraged to contact the DeKalb Police Department at 815-748-8400.
