University Police Blotter: Oct. 14

Oct. 4

• At 11:30 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at Grant South. Upon arrival, officers did not observe a fight. They later encountered three individuals who were involved in a prior alteration. They were referred to Judicial Affairs.

Oct. 9

• Between 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 10, the Pottenger House sign indicating the building’s name had been broken. Case is closed.

Oct. 10

• At 4:32 p.m., victim reported someone broke the passenger side rearview mirror from its mounting to the vehicle in Lot O. Case is closed.

Oct. 11

• At 5 a.m., two Access Control workers’ portable radios were taken from their work station. Later at 11:30 a.m., an individual returned them to the front desk of Stevenson Towers. The individual was referred to Judicial Affairs

• At 1:17 p.m., University Police referred an individual under 21 at Huskie Stadium to Judicial Affairs for possession of an open beer can.

• At 1:24 p.m., University Police referred an individual under 21 at Huskie Stadium to Judicial Affairs for possession of an open beer can.

• At 3:22 p.m., University Police observed two people walking out of Huskie Stadium carrying a large Army recruitment advertising sign. The sign was recovered, and the people were ejected from the stadium. The people were also referred to Judicial Affairs.

• At 10:15 pm., University Police patrolling Lot X noticed a backpack on the ground. The officer identified the owner of the backpack and returned it to them. The backpack had been left outside at the Grant South bike racks, and was gone by the time the owner arrived. The owner found that a silver wrench, a black Motorola car charger, and a black and silver MP3 player were missing. Case is closed.

Oct. 12

• At 12:50 a.m., victim reported someone took two cell phones and an iPod from their room in Stevenson South. Case is pending.

• At 2:03 a.m., criminal sexual abuse was reported at Lincoln Hall. Case is pending.

Oct. 13

• At 9:35 p.m., University Police responded to a report of an obnoxious odor in Douglas Hall A wing. Upon arrival, the officers smelled cannabis coming from a room. Officers contacted the residents and discovered less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and glass pipe in their possession. The residents were referred to Judicial Affairs.
