Oct. 18
• At 3:08 p.m., victim reported being punched in the face and head by an individual. The victim refused medical attention and did not want to file criminal charges. All parties were referred to Judicial Affairs.
Oct. 20
• At 5:09 p.m., a criminal sexual abuse was reported. The offense reportedly occurred on Oct. 17 at Stevenson South. The victim did not want to press charges. The offender was referred to Judicial Affairs.
• At 9:40 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a banned individual in Lincoln Hall. Upon arrival, officers identified and arrested Alexandria A. Davis, 18, of Chicago, for criminal trespassing on state property. Davis had been previously banned from Lincoln Hall. Officers booked Davis at NIU Police Department, who was released after posting bond.
Oct. 21
• At 2:22 a.m., University Police responded to a report of a banned individual in Grant North. Upon arrival, officers identified the subject, who gave a false name. Officers arrested James E. Barlow, 24, of Rockford, for criminal trespassing on state property and for obstruction of justice. Barlow was previously banned from all university property. Officers booked Barlow at NIU Police Department, who was then transported to DeKalb County Jail.
• At 2:26 a.m., victim reported someone had taken her iPod from her room in Grant North. Case is pending.
• At 11:49 a.m., victim reported someone had taken his bicycle from the exterior of Founders’ Memorial Library. Case is closed.
• At 5:15 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a banned individual in Stevenson North. Upon arrival, officers identified the subject. Officers arrested Paul P. Baldwin, 18, of Chicago, for criminal trespassing on state property. Baldwin was previously banned from all university property. Officers booked Baldwin at NIU Police Department, who was later released on his recognizance.
• At 5:22 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a domestic battery in Lot 15e. Case is pending.
• At 11:35 p.m., University Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at Grant North. Upon arrival, officers interviewed all parties involved. The offender was given a 24-hour banning from the floor and was relocated to a difference residence. The case was referred to Judicial Affairs.
Oct. 22
• At 8 p.m., a domestic battery was reported. The battery reportedly occurred on Oct. 19. Officers interviewed all parties involved, and arrested Jermel A. Taylor, 22, for domestic battery. Officers booked Taylor at NIU Police Department, who was then transported to DeKalb County Jail.
