At 12:40 a.m., University Police arrested Steven A. Williams II, 20, of Chicago, who assaulted a woman by placing his hands around her neck and pushing her off a chair at Grant South. Officers transported Williams to the NIU Police Department, where he was booked and was later released.

At 2:44 p.m., victim reported someone used his debit card without his permission. The victim said he lost his debit card around Sept. 18, and on Sept. 25, someone withdrew $350 from his account. Case is pending investigation.
