Beatles and Metallica cover band to play Otto’s tonight
October 30, 2008
Imagine the soothing, melodic sounds of The Beatles combined with the thrashing, angry music of Metallica and you’ll get Beatallica, a hybrid rock band from Milwaukee.
Tonight, Beatallica will be headlining a special Halloween show at Otto’s Niteclub, 118 E. Lincoln Highway.
“It will definitely be one of the biggest shows in town,” said Kickstand Productions owner John Ugolini.
The songs and stage names of Beatallica reflect a combination of both the great bands they are influenced by. For example, the drummer’s stage name is Ringo Larz, which is a combination of The Beatle’s Ringo Starr and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. To complete the act, the band is notorious for wearing clothing that makes them look like members of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band at a heavy metal concert.
Halloween night is sure to be exciting and fans of either band should check out Beatallica. Crazy antics and humorous songs make a Beatallica show worth seeing, especially on Halloween night.
“The band is centered around having fun,” Ugolini said.
With hit songs like “All You Need Is Blood,” Beatallica is sure to entertain audiences with a dose of hard rock combined with unforgettable lyrics. Also taking the stage tomorrow night are The Employees and Egon’s Unicat.
The night will begin at 9 p.m. and the cost of this 21 and over show is $8, or $6 to anyone in costume.
