There’s no better way to get fans interested in the upcoming Huskie basketball seasons than to hold open practices.

NIU head coaches Ricardo Patton and Carol Owens understand this concept. That’s why both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold open practices in the upcoming weeks.

The women’s team will start off the fan appreciation by holding an open 11 a.m. practice this Saturday prior to the men’s soccer game at noon.

The men’s team will continue the fan awareness at noon Saturday, Oct. 25, when they’ll hold their open practice.

This is every fan’s chance to see what NIU is bringing to the table. Will the shooters hit the net? Or will they hit the floor in front of their public?

We won’t know unless we’re there, right? I know I’m heading out to the Convo this weekend, and the next, to see what the teams are all about.
