Fitness Boot Camp to Raise Money for Cornerstone Christian Academy

On Saturday, HalsPTW Fitness Boot Camp will hold its first Trial for Charity Day at the Cornerstone Christian Academy campus. The fundraising event offers participants a chance to sample the 45-60 minute boot camp class for only $10. All proceeds will be donated to Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Fitness boot camps run in four week sessions that meet three days per week. The next session starts Monday, October 6th, and registration is now available.

Kish Hospital to hold drill Saturday

Kishwaukee Community Hospital and several EMS/fire departments from the area will conduct a disaster drill Saturday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The scenario for the drill is a tornado striking Brooks Elementary School in DeKalb. Sirens will not be activated.

Residents and passers-by should not be alarmed when they see a number of ambulances in the neighborhood around Brooks school or in transit to the hospital.
